Overview
Bangladesh is one of the world’s largest apparel manufacturing hubs and a cornerstone of global fashion supply chains. Over the past four decades, the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry has transformed the country into the second-largest apparel exporter globally, supplying major international brands across Europe and North America.
The sector contributes around 11% to national GDP and accounts for over 80% of Bangladesh’s total export earnings. With a strong manufacturing ecosystem, competitive labor costs, and globally recognized compliance standards, Bangladesh continues to attract international investment in apparel manufacturing and textile innovation.
